What qualifications do I need to study an osteopathy degree?

Direct entry from Sixth Form / College

Our standard offer for prospective students who are applying to study immediately following Sixth form / college is: minimum 104 UCAS Points achieved from:

A-Levels (2 or preferably 3 including one science subject (e.g. Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Psychology, PE) we will also consider the EPQ qualification as long as 2 A ’level qualifications have been achieved.

or

Combination of A-Levels and BTEC qualifications

or

BTEC qualifications such as Sports Science or Health and Social Care

or

Scottish Highers

Plus GCSE English and Maths minimum grade 4

 

Mature Students (aged 21 plus)

The LSO is committed to widening access in participation and consideration will be given to mature students with practical experience and vocational qualifications in other disciplines.  Many students apply to the London School of Osteopathy with recognised qualifications that have equivalent UCAS points in areas such as an ITEC massage qualification, Level 3personal training diploma, soft tissue qualification, sports science etc.

International Qualifications

If you have studied overseas and hold qualifications such as an Irish Leaving Certificate or a French Baccalaureate, these will be recognised. Please note we are unable to accept applications from students who qualify as an ‘International’  student. Click here to find out more about overseas qualifications.

All applicants

Once we receive an application it will be passed to a member of our admissions team.  Your personal statement and qualifications will be taken into consideration when making a decision whether to call you for an interview.

If you are invited for an interview, you will be sent an interview pack and selected dates.

The LSO will aim to make a decision within a week of your interview. UCAS applicants will receive their decision via their UCAS account.  Direct  applicants  will receive an email from the Registrar.
